Adding Integers with Unlike Signs
Integers are the set of signed numbers.
Signed numbers include positive numbers (example the
number 9), negative numbers (example -9), and 0.

Adding integers with like signs is not difficult, once you know
the procedure. 1. Look at the two integers
that you are adding. 2. Find the
absolute value of each integer.
3. Use the sign of the integer with the largest absolute
value in your answer. 4. Subtract the
absolute values of the integers. example:
(-6) + 3= -3 example: 8 +(- 6) = +2
